The Beartooth Mountains are a breathtaking alpine mountain range located in south central Montana. They are home to the world famous Beartooth Highway, Montana’s highest point (Granite Peak at 12,807 feet), and some of the 900,000 acres of the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness. They sit just northeast of Yellowstone National Park, but provide a sense of seclusion not found in similar areas bordering Yellowstone.
